| ELEKTRA #3 This is the first Elektra
painting I did after the initial 8 illustrations. I wanted to do a meaner,
scarier Elektra this time around and Brian gave me some story details including
a mosque with a "wall of fire" protecting it. I ran off with the idea
and this shot is probably the most popular Elektra I've done to date. This
image appeared close-up on HISPANICS TODAY in a TV interview with Joe Quesada.
It was also used as a 8-foot tall display for Marvel's 2001 convention tour
(see below) and
is now a fixture at the Marvel offices. The cover was also made into
a lithograph by Dynamic Forces. |
