• EMMA FROST #5   I originally turned in the Emma Frost #5 cover with a plain white background (see below) because we were trying to get the image ready early for solicitation.  I had planned to add a background to the cover at a later date, but just about everyone who saw the plain white version said they loved it.   I didn't get around to completing the pavement and limo until about a month later and I was definitely feeling the pressure to make it all look good.

I signed on to the Emma Frost project with the idea that it was going to be a 4 issue mini-series.  Later, this was extended to a 6 issue story arc which I am especially grateful for, because I think the covers to #5 and 6 are among my best work.  Now, the word is that the extension has been extended--to 18 issues!  This should be great as we are going to see major changes in young Emma's character as she blossom's into the raging bitch we all know and love!  ...Of course, she looks all nice and sweet in this picture...  Anyway, this is how the image first appeared in solicitations.  I'm planning to add a background to this cover and I'll post it later this month.
