• LORD OF THE RINGS (Last Year's Aragorn)  I really love the Lord of the Rings films--in fact, I'm trying to convince my wife to let me replace my wedding band with the "One Ring".  She's not going for it....yet.    Anyway, the big problem was that I forgot to ask XBOX magazine which outfit to use in this painting.   By the time I had finished him in the long coat, we were told that EA (or Newline) was expecting the vest and Boromir's gauntlets outfit!   It wasn't a total disaster though,  because I had left the sword on its own layer and was able to draw in the new clothing right under it!

My art work of Newline's (New Line cinema) Lord of the Rings:Two Towers movie art was greatly inspired by classic Dungeons & Dragons style art . At one point we were going to try three awesome paintings for the magazine covers.  I was hoping for Orlando Bloom as the elf Legolas, Elijah Wood as the hobbit Frodo, and Liv Tyler as Arwen.  But now I think I'd lean more towards Gollum ...or maybe Smeagol?
